About Us
About the Research Clinic
We began our clinical research journey in 2018, and it is our goal to continue to provide access to clinical research studies to our patients and our community. Our main focus is women's health and maternal studies, but we also have support from investigators in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics, and will continue to seek trials that benefit the population that we serve.
Our Team
Samuel B. Wolf, D.O.
Dr. Samuel Wolf is a native of Panama City. He received a B.S. in biology at Florida State University. He earned his doctorate (D.O.) at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a traditional rotating internship at Genesys Medical Center associated with the Michigan State University Health System, where he was awarded Intern of the year. He did his OB/GYN residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center / Shands Jacksonville. In his off-time, Dr. Wolf enjoys spending time with his family and is an ardent kitesurfer and snowboarder.
Lauren Green, CCRC, CRQM, CCMA
Lauren attended the University of West Florida with a focus on Public Health. She has been a part of the medical field since 2012, and the clinical research community since 2016. She retains certifications in Medical Assisting, Clinical Research Quality Management, and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRP). She is passionate about clinical research and the advancement of healthcare for the people in our community. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and being on the water with her family.
Cathleen Akerson, RN, BSN
Cathleen is a registered nurse and attended Florida State University and received her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1995. Since then, she has worked as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Research Nurse, and as a Legal Nurse Consultant for a local law firm. She has worked as a Clinical Research Nurse for 10+ years, and has been an employee with us since 2020. She is very excited to be able to combine her passions of OB/GYN and Clinical Research into one career. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family boating and fishing. She and her husband are passionate about health & wellness, and they both teach personal fitness classes at their local gym.
